If you are comparing repair tools after a failed Shopify import, start with the file size, the report you need, and where you are comfortable processing your catalog. A lower price alone does not establish which tool will fix your particular error.

When EcomCSVFix fits
Choose it when you want to try a cleaned file before paying, have a Shopify product CSV within the limits above, and prefer buying one file at a time. Files with 500 rows or fewer can be downloaded in full for free. Larger files get a 500-row preview so you can inspect the output first.
The report covers formatting changes and warnings, including product metafield headers and value shapes. Store definitions still need your attention. The Shopify metafield CSV guide includes an example file and explains what to check in Shopify.
When FileAdapt fits
If your catalog must stay on your device, FileAdapt offers browser-local processing. Its credit bundles may also suit repeated downloads. Consider those differences alongside the findings each tool produces for your own file.
EcomCSVFix uploads files for server processing and currently focuses on Shopify product CSVs. It does not provide store migration, create metafield definitions, or import variant metafields. Neither tool can establish that a file will pass every store-specific import check.
