Walmart bulk upload error: missing required attribute

What causes this error

Every Walmart product type defines its own set of required attributes in the Item Spec. If any required field for the declared product type is blank or missing from your file, the whole row is rejected. Common offenders are productName, brand, shortDescription, mainImageUrl, and condition.

How to fix it

Option A: fix it manually

  1. Open your Activity Feed error report and note the rejected SKU and the attribute name in the error.
  2. Find your product type's required list in the Item Spec for that category — required fields differ per product type.
  3. Fill the missing value in your spec file for that row, matching the exact column/header name.
  4. Re-validate before re-uploading: a single missing required field fails the entire item.

Option B: fix it automatically
